In '24, Oregon State, Washington State, and Mountain West schedule 6 football games. Part-2

Oregon and Washington State want to recreate the Pac-12, and NCAA regulations allow two institutions in a league for two years. Next season, Chun said the Cougars would utilize Pac-12 emblems and logos on their field and clothes. He added that the Mountain West sponsorship of non-conference games is for one year.

Chun said the cooperation helps the two institutions learn about Commissioner Nevarez and the Mountain West Conference. However, the volatility in the FBS and other leagues is a serious problem for college athletics, and we will position ourselves strategically going ahead.

The Pacific Northwest colleges are suing the Pac-12 and the 10 exiting institutions to discover who governs the conference and controls hundreds of millions of dollars in assets.

The additional games may affect the Mountain West's Fox-CBS television arrangement until the 2025 football season. The Pac-12 has no TV deal beyond this season. The Pac-12 broke up because it couldn't get a contract like other Power Five conferences.

The exits began in 2022 when Southern California and UCLA declared they will join the Big Ten in 2024. The pace accelerated this fall.

In September, Oregon State and Washington State sued the Pac-12 and departing members, alleging they lost their right to vote on league affairs and participate on the conference board of directors.

Exiting schools claim they should vote until August 2024. All 12 Pac-12 members must agree on Pac-12 decisions. A judge decided last month in favor of Oregon State and Washington State, but the conference and exiting institutions appealed to the Washington Supreme Court, which stayed the judgment.

The unanimous support for this agreement from all 12 current Pac-12 members shows that OSU and WSU can plan for their future while all members continue to have a say in Pac-12 decisions impacting the current athletics year," said the schools
