Conference championship overreaction: Florida State excluded, Texas & Alabama in.

The final 2023 College Football Playoff rankings are discussed by Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger, and SI's Pat Forde.

One school missed the College Football Playoff despite five worthy teams. After an undefeated season, the Florida State Seminoles are #5 in the playoff bracket, after Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama.

After the news, FSU quarterback Jordan Travis turned to social media, wishing he had been wounded earlier in the year to show the committee the team's actual potential.

Dan, Pat, and Ross examine why the 4-team system was created why the 12-team system was overdue. Ross then discusses how the ACC/Big Ten/Pac-12 “Alliance” failed and how the ACC damaged itself by not campaigning for an enlarged postseason earlier because to SEC expansion issues.

The show also looks at the 12-team playoff field this year, with Oregon, Ohio State, and Georgia ranking high but not making the top 4.

The lads explain how Alabama rallied from a slow start to reach the national championship game's final four.

Texas and Washington will compete in the Sugar Bowl CFP semifinals on January 1st. Both programmes had great years, so the team is keen to compare them. In crucial games this year, Washington's offense has improved, and Texas dominated the Big 12 in the second half.

Before ending the program, the boys make their way-too-early national championship predictions and predict LSU's Jaden Daniels' Heisman Trophy.
